The Ask

A pharmaceutical client needed deep, qualitative insights and quantitative data validation from HCPs across Europe for a rare liver disease. They wanted practitioners to present and compare how their countries are managing the condition and open discussions on future treatment.

The client required a solution to deliver content and gather feedback via a single platform over a 6-week virtual advisory board.

Challenges

  • Managing advisory boards can be time-consuming and expensive, particularly across multiple countries and time zones.
  • Traditional methods of recruiting HCPs, tracking engagement, and ensuring completion of materials requires considerable coordination.
  • Traditional virtual boards with disparate links and portals often lead to participant drop-off.

The Solution

Adelo’s single, centralized platform hosted all interactions, bringing clinical content and engagement into one secure, user-friendly hub. Working closely with the client, Adelo designed a six-week programme for HCPs specialised in the disease, supporting flexible, asynchronous and live engagement.

Customised Experience: As content was new, Adelo went beyond the standard platform to create bespoke branding, incorporating the client’s logo and a design to reflect the topic. The platform was visually cohesive, warm, and credible, maintaining a professional medical study aesthetic.

WEEKS 1-3: Knowledge priming

Activity: Modules unlocked weekly (Presentations, Videos, Resource Library). Engagement: Polls & Discussion Boards. Result: Established a baseline of knowledge.

WEEK 4: Virtual Debate Live

Activity: Live virtual debate hosted on the same platform. Engagement: HCPs shared case studies and debated approaches. Result: High-energy stress testing of ideas.

WEEK 5: Synthesis Asynchronous

Activity: Reflection & Review. Engagement: Final surveys.

WEEK 6: Deep Dive Live Virtual

Activity: 1:1 or Small Group Interviews. Result: Platform insights from Weeks 1-5 were sufficient to meet client objectives.
